At Y Camp 2018, we help children recognize their talents, build confidence, make lifelong friendships, learn new skills and understand the importance of living a healthy, active life. We provide hands-on fun rooted in the Y's core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We achieve this through:
- Songs and games, swimming, sports
- Creative arts, water play, science experiments
- Spirit traditions, silly skits, character development and more
Traditional Day Camps (entering grades K-6)
Y camps for children entering grades K - 6 are available in three different camp settings. Campers are divided by grade and participate in age-appropriate activities. Activities vary by camp setting.
- Buccaneers: Entering Kindergarten (ages 5)
- Pioneers: Entering Grades 1 – 3 (ages 6-8)
- Rangers: Entering Grades 4 – 6 (ages 9-11)
|"Great Outdoors" camps offer unique camp experiences in beautiful, outdoor, natural settings that stimulate the senses and inspire wonder! Campers experience the natural world through nature hikes, arts & crafts, science and environmental exploration, archery, nature journaling and more - all culminating into adventure and excitement that can only occur in these special natural environments. Activities vary by location.
||"The Lodge" camps introduces campers to our timeless Y traditions like daily rallies, talent shows and more. Campers experience a variety of indoor and outdoor activities including crafts, science projects, games, and reading and journaling. Activities vary by location.
||Capture the essence of traditional camp in our "Activity Central" camps! Filled with adventure and fun, these camps provide a variety of activities campers crave including water games, arts & crafts, friendly competitions, science experiments, group sports, weekly swimming, and more! These are outdoor camps, but many activities take place under shaded pavilions and canopies. Some locations rotate indoors for activities in the gym or multi-purpose room. Activities vary by location. Traditional camp at the Y in Arnold includes a trip to our "Great Outdoors" camp, Camp Whippoorwill, twice a week for outdoor adventure for grades 1-6. Traditional camps at the Y in Pasadena includes swim lessons!

Traditional Y Day Camp Add-Ons
Camp add-ons are daily activity choices that can be added to your traditional camp day for a little something extra to enjoy! Camp add-ons are only available to campers participating in traditional camp.
When registering for camp add-ons, you must select the traditional camp week that includes the name of the add-on you want to sign up for. For example, "Week 5 Traditional Camp with Rock Wall Add-on".
SPORTS ADD-ON (entering grades 1-6)
Show some love for your favorite sport! Register for this traditional camp add-on and improve your skills while having fun! Sports add-ons are designed to teach sports skills, fair play, teamwork and sportsmanship. All skill levels welcome!
- SOCCER: Improve your soccer skills with drills and games.
- BASKETBALL: Improve your basketball skills including dribbling, passing and shooting.
- FLAG FOOTBALL: Rotate through stations as you work on football skills and conditioning.
- SPORTS MIX: Enjoy a mashup of all your favorites including soccer, basketball, flag football, and more.

We believe learning how to swim and being safe in the water go hand-in-hand. This traditional camp add-on covers both.!Campers receive swim lesson instruction by a certified instructor. Skill check cards and progress feedback will be given at the end of each week.

If you’re a thrill seeker or you just love a good challenge, this traditional camp add-on is right for you! Learn basic climbing techniques while being challenged with drills and games. We focus on safety and proper climbing skills. As you improve your technique, you’ll progress to the next climbing level. Can you get through all of the levels?

Camp Spencer Day Camp (entering grades 1-10)

Camp Puh'tok Day Camp (entering grades K-5)
Camp Puh'tok introduces a brand new kind of Y Camp experience in 2018! Camp Puh'tok offers unique experiences for young adventurers such as swimming, pony rides, farm animals, field games, camp fires, nature studies, archery, arts & crafts, low ropes, field games, crafts, music, treasure hunts, and more! Plus, lunch and snacks are included! Overnight camp and specialty camps also available for ages 7-16.
